I heard that Lauryn turned up 90 minutes late for one in July. She better not this time. Prince was about an hour late and that was the last time I went to the Hammersmith Apollo. Lucky it's not too far from home for me or I'd be stuck.
These stars have no respect for those who have to make their way home using public transport that stops at midnight

...still, you're right the title does suggest it so here goes I guess I hope Ellie isn't reading this and has gone already though I had a very very mixed reaction to it... Wyclef, Lauryn and Pras were all great singers and performers particularly Wyclef who carried the show IMO Lauryn didn't even address the crowd or barely acknowledge it Pras did once or twice I think. Wyclef got out there amongst the crowd literally, on the flip side to that, and kept the crowd going. Lauryn strutted around the stage pointing and directing at people the whole time like a true diva and at one point came out with a (real, I'm 99% sure) fur shawl (which is not related to the music, I know, but I wasn't impressed at all) they ended the concert very very abruptly without even a goodbye... the did "Superstar" and when the last note of the song ended they moved promptly off the stage without even a thank you or bye to their credit though, particularly Wyclef again, they performed well and have awesome voices I left the show with a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately... I wish I could say it was awesome but the best I can do is "ok"

Sorry to hear that, hun. Disappointing, especially since you were looking forward to it so much. After the last 'show' she played in London, it doesn't sound like Lauren's doing much to impress her fans is it?

Thanks Natisse. I apologize. I was just excited when I saw the thread and kept reading everything else but the review. Anywho, that sucks the show was weak. Sounds like they're already having trouble again. Though it is good to hear Wyclef was able to hold it down when Lauryn couldn't/wouldn't. Thanks again.

it's cool... and yes you hit the nail when you say weak. not bad a such (because I still say it was ok) but WEAK and yep Wyclef is the man!! If he ever toured solo oh man I would be SO there! at one point I thought he was going to play Redemption Song I almost melted... it turned out to be no woman no cry they did but it was a great version

A lot of people rag on Wyclef, but I think he's got the most stage presence of the three and he seems to want to perform and please the crowd, whereas Lauryn just seems bitter. She should give it up if she can't stand performing and can't even acknowledge her fans. I like Wyclef. I think he's done quite well since the breakup and he doesn't seem to be lost in religion or bitter about his past.

Ooh, I just came back. Yes, Wyclef definitely has the most stage presence - all that climbing into the crowd stuff is expected now though. Pras dove right into the crowd and pretty much on top of my head! But that was all he did really. Apart from 'Superstar' he was barely part of the show at all.
Lauryn's voice was brilliant, but so were the backing singers!

One other thing, WYclef seemed to be under the impression that we were in Brixton

Wyclef is great on stage. He's the reason that group exists.
