I love Dionne and am knowledgeable on her 60s output, but I've never actually heard this album. It's one of many collections that were pulled together in the 90s, and not a studio album. That's all I know. Sorry.

I`m thinking about getting it, i love her 60s stuff too highfive
I guess there`s A LOT of collections, i have one that includes "for once in my life" from the "Dionne Warwick story" live LP. It`s so annoying that we can only get a few songs, spread on various compilation Cds, why can`t someone just release the original albums on Cd... I still haven`t heard any news on the expanded edition of "on stage and in the movies", i did some re-search, and most of the songs on the standards Cd is from the "on stage and in the movies" album.

Here`s the tracklist:

1. Way You Look Tonight
2. For All We Know
3. Summertime
4. Vie en Rose [French Version]
5. I Love Paris
6. Good Life
7. C'Est Si Bon
8. I Cry Alone
9. I Loves You, Porgy
10. Something Wonderful
11. People
12. Taking a Chance on Love
13. You and the Night and the Music
14. Somewhere
15. One Hand, One Heart
16. Vie en Rose [English Version]
17. I Believe in You
18. My Favorite Things
19. Baubles, Bangles and Beads

Her best two collections - and I think they're both essential for fans - are these two:

The first release is the best known of her collections, but you really are missing out if you skip the second one. There are some superb selections on there. I think it's just as good as its counterpart.

All of those are great albums! I'm usually not a two-fer fan, but I'll take her old albums any way I can get them.

I'll check the liner notes when I get home (they're pretty thorough), but I can't recall where that track's from. I can only remember that it's a remake. It's actually the only song on there that I don't think is all that good. neutral

Slaves was the B-side of The April Fools and was also included on Dionne Warwick's Greaest Motion Picture Hits. I thought it was a remake, but it's not. She starred in the movie of the same name.

I love Dionne's old albums. In the early 70s,my parents had one of her albums that featured the song "Make It Easy On Yourself".That's my favorite song of hers from that period. They also had an album that contained her version of "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head".I'm gonna have to go to a used record store and look for these albums.
