This is a REAL make-it or break-it album for me. All For You disappointed me and Damita Jo outright annoyed me. If this album doesn't do something to rock my world, my days of being a Jante fan will be over.

Mariah came back, Madonna came back (yes, they are at the very least sales comebacks) and I have no doubts about Janet....her album could be the biggest hit of them all. I don't doubt it for a second.

I think he meant that it's a make or break album for him as a janet fan, which is the same for me. Janet can have great success with this album no doubt. She'll most likely rack up another #1 and score some more hits. However if the theme of the album is once again about her wet pussy then i have no interest in her anymore.

"It's a milestone year for us and for the collaboration," Jam tells Billboard.com. "It'll be 20 years since the release of 'Control,' so there's definitely a little bit of a nod to that on the new album."

Hopefully that means we get some 80's era Jam/Lewis funk production and not their generic production of late. I cannot tell their production from anyone else's these days.

Thank you. I gave up on them years ago. What's really a shame with them is that we all know they are capable of much better. They have the talent and they have made loads of money so they aren't the "starving artists" that have to sell out to make a living.

If these two would turn themselves around and get back to be musical individuals instead of trend followers, they might possibly put a dent in today's sorry state of current music and get things going in the right direction again. Even if it didn't turn out to be a huge success, it would at least be something for the people to listen to that don't like all this current music. They have the money to take the risk but instead they would rather play it safe, sell out, and help increase the problem.

Hopefully she can channel the feelings of the last couple years into a good album and not a wannabe orgy album

I think she should be working with some different producers after all this time - to give something fresh. Or maybe there is no Janet without Jam & Lewis?

Different producers would be great, actually. On the last two albums, when she worked with other names, the results were just fine.

I think it's time to ditch Jam & Lewis. They worked wonders for her in the '80s and served her well enough in the '90s, but for the past five years, they seem to have come to a point where they can no longer produce something for her without it sounding either pale and minimalist or jacking the foundation from another old-school joint. Perhaps this newest album will prove me wrong, however? shrug

Janet should sho Madonna out on this album..I know it's not going to be about how she thinks that being a celebrity and all that junk, Maddy get off the high horse...ooops... giggle (She just know that album cudda been funner..)

Anyway, Jimmy & Terry have been pretty good on being up to date with sound..they are what the ONLY producers to still be here since 1981 crankin out jams....

What was their last one???!!!
Harajuku Girls? - Gwen? Gotta be somethin else after that....That song was pretty coo...if it wasnt for the lyrics which were just silly...

If they 80's Funk up this album just like what they did with Mariah's "Want You" worship I would be purely satifaaaad (as Britney once said)
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.
