My song of the day: "Miss you like crazy" by Natalie Cole I`m a sucker for a good ballad, and one of my favorites from the 80s is Natalie Cole`s "Miss you like crazy"
I`m not so fond of the kind of jazz records she`s been making lately, so i like to turn back time and just listen to the good old Natalie

I love Natalie Cole and I was thrilled when she got herself together and made a late-80s comeback. Her 1987 album 'Everlasting' is excellent, and so is the 1989 follow-up 'Good To Be Back',which contains the hit "Miss You Like Crazy".I really wish she would temporarily leave jazz alone and make another great R&B/pop album.Don't get me wrong,I love her jazz recordings, but I also miss the soulful R&B/pop stuff that she does so well.

I know what you mean. "Calling you" from the "ask a woman.." cd is great, but the rest is too slow for me, when i know what she`s capable of. The last thing she did that really amazed me (except her christmas albums) was the "Take a look" song. Natalie can shout like nobody else, "Something`s got a hold on me" from Natalie Live is one favorite, it may be a bit to much for some, but i think it`s perfect

She's working on a new CD right now.Dallas Austin is producing several tracks.I think it's gonna be a return to R&B/pop.
