Praising Kate at Tori's expense...

I've read various reviews & articles about Kate lately, obviously because of the release of Aerial. One thing I have noticed in alot of these writings is there always seems to be a little, somewhat insulting & stupid comment about Tori, like they will say something to the effect that Tori is a pale imitation of Kate or basically that compared to Kate,Tori sucks.
Now you know I'm not too fond of The Beekeeper, but I'm still offended by all this Tori bashing.
I don't understand why people are still on this Tori imitating Kate bandwagon anyway.
Their music isn't similar at all.
For one thing, their styles of piano-playing are like night & day.
Tori's playing is more aggressive, intense, darker.A lot of the time she sounds like she's playing with 4 hands instead of 2,and she bangs & pounds on the piano more, which I LOVE.
(More Laura Nyro than Kate)

Kate's playing is usually more gentle & subtle.
And there are other differences as well.

It lazy fucking journalism thats all. Journalists who cant write about an album subjectively have to draw from many unrelated sources in order to fill column inches. This can be anything from bashing similar artists, to attacking said artists past career choices. Its a technique of ensuring they never give too much praise out, because go forbid they acknowledge that people actually have talent. Bitter pen pushers.

falloff for real though.....not too many people pose in a box.....for their debut album. lol Tori might've been totally unaware about Kate in a box.

I love Aerial, and I'm still digesting it, but I doubt I'll ever like it as much as Beekeeper.
