"The Look of Love" by Madonna - So Underrated! I recently added all the Who's that girl tracks to my iPod and now remember how great "The Look of Love" is...very underrated! I never understood why this wasn't release as a single - or at least included on Madonna's ballad's CD "Something to Remember." Let the rain come down...17 days....

Out of the four songs that she contributed to the 'Who's That Girl' soundtrack, this song is the best.

I agree. It's one of her best. Easily as good as "Live To Tell".

Nor do I cute. Cute song, but outside of three Madonna tracks on there, the rest of the album is crap. Can't Stop is , but the other three Madonna tracks are sweet!

I agree with everyone so far. This is one of my all time favorite madonna ballads. It's a shame it has been left to collect dust on the Who's That Girl soundtrack with no appearances elsewhere...

great song You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

And she had a perfect opportunity to resurrect it on "Something to Remember".

I never knew this track inspired such love. I've always adored it. I don't understand why it was ignored by WB at the time. It really should have been released to radio/single.

Definitely to be resurrected for Something To Remember.
On the other hand, if you have to buy Who's That Girl for only 4 Madonna tracks, when one of those songs is "Can't Stop" (), well "The Look Of Love" all makes it worth it.

"One More Chance" has its place, but it's kinda weak. Plus, the album wasn't full, was it? I think she would've had room for a few more.

purplegypsy said: WAS LOL released as a single in other countries? It was released in the UK in Dec 1987. I think it reached number 9. Its a good madonna track, just like all her Pat Leonard collaborations, a strong melody and well constructed. Id quite like to see her revisit this one live.

Always associate this song with the scene in Who's that Girl with Griffin Dunne walking through the darkened NYC streets.
Gotta say that I have a soft spot for that shitty movie. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

He's walking through the city in the scene before they make out. They play the song then, and then it's cut when he gets to that apartment. He's shocked to find out that she's also there. Then they make out. ...can't believe that I know enough of the plot of WHo's that Girl to give that synopsis. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.
