Still, LOL, you sound like me with MJ when talking about concerts. Most people only get to see the one official released one from each tour and judge from that, but the fans always gripe about it being the wrong one. Like the Dangerous Bucharest concert = utter crap cos he had laryngitis [Edited 12/2/05 4:42am] Why do they no listen to us though and give us what we want???? I mean it would cost very little to pull out the footage of her Paris BAT shows, they probably edited the whole thing already when doing Truth Or Dare, so why not just whack it on a DVD and give us what we want???? Its like with MJ, there's still no record of his BAD tour on any format.....thats awful. From what I can make out it was his best tour.

I reckon Blonde Ambition suffers because of her vocals, and The Girle Show looked great, but a bit gimmicky. WTG had a fantastic setlist though and she never compromised her singing in favour of visual treats.
I can't really put my finger on it, but it just seems that she had so much more joy in her voice and passion for what she was singing back then. The squeaky "Minnie Mouse" voice as some people call it may not be technically great, and it's probably not good for your vocal chords singing that way night after night, but it's what made me love her Hmmm, have you seen/got the Virgin Tour. Thats the most squeaky she's been live. Her singing is great during that show, some nice 80's dancing as well. I dont like the WTG tour mainly because I hate that era of hers, it just feels really outdated. Probably because its a really poor quality filming of it. I dont know which version of the BAT you've seen but her singing on the Yokahoma show is brilliant. It was one of the first shows on the tour, and her voice was still intact. Its just a shame the set doesnt look so good. The Nice show is honestly the worst singing of hers Ive ever heard. Unwatchable for me. I dream of the day Warners release a full version of the Paris shows that were filmed properly for Truth Or Dare. Her singing was great during these shows. It seems such a shame that her best tour will always be compromised on reflection by her vocal problems. That said these problems were probably brought on because her voice was always straining due to the highly physical nature of the performance. Ever since then she's completely toned down her dancing. When i first saw WTG i didn't like it. However going back i like it more know because of the joy and engery in that show. Also love the engery in the Girlie Show. Some of the better shows are London, Yokohoma, New York City, Rio and Philly. Great shows great engery. RIT has the same engery too as does the KoKo Gig. When she's on the engery is unblieveble. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

My take on Im Goint to Tell You A Secret- I liked it. There were some parts that were boring and some of the concert footage editing was horrendous, but I liked how she was portrayed. Madonna seems like a better person. Also, her dancers seemed cool and her family was hilarious.
Not exactly Truth or Dare, but definitely not Living With Michael Jackson .

My recorder didn't deliver. Before I slit my wrists can someone tell me when the DVD is coming out. It's repeated in the UK on Saturday December 10th. E4 at 10:35pm and E4+1 at 11:35pm. I guess you'll have the E4 logo in the corner of your screen though.

I always assumed it had something to do with the fact that she wrote Man in the Mirror and because she was a protege of Quincy's. I wonder if it was Q's suggestion? Back on topic - I've still not seen this, and I still dont' feel like I'm missing anything Truth or Dare is one of my favorite moments in Madonna time, and there's absolutely no way I'd be able to watch this without comparing the two.

Certain celebrities definitely tend to be more alluring when they drop their public facade and start acting as themselves. Her thoughts on Kabbalah I found interesting and genuine, although I'm not so sure that attempting to bring it to the masses as such succeeded or was particularly neccesary
Funny. When I watched that I was reminded of Bowie dropping down on his knee and doing the Lord's prayer at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

im as big a madge fan as they come (well, almost...) and this movie blew balls. i cant believe after all the time she spent on it how boring and trite it was. the only good parts were performances and the process of putting the show together. ive only watched it all the way through once.
and she REALLY went 20 weeks without having a drink while preparing for the tour? bitch, please. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

On a more sour note she was most definitely lip-synching during the second half of "Vogue", which will provide yet more ammunition for the Elton John brigade. .
