Thanks givin and xmas weekends typically sees a sharp increase in album sales

most of the albums r up sharply some of them more then up 100%


madonnas release didnt fall as much because of this reason

Madonna no4? A bit of a drop, but not bad at all. It still had a ridiculously high sales figure, and it's probably gone gold already, something that American Life was barely able to do. With the release of "Sorry", sales should pick up.

I think Madonna's sales will stable out in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully, she'll remain a consistent seller throughout the Holiday season. All she needs to do is get over here and do a little promotion for the album. Don't know what she's waiting for.

It's not all that surprising. Many people think Mariah is a safer gift than Madonna, for sure and Mariah's latest rerelease was also on sale last week.

This chart is great news for Madonna.Her album is selling steadily.214,686 copies is alot for a second week.She experienced a 38% decrease in sales,which isn't bad considering that second-week drops are usually 50% or more.The album is already gold in America and I predict it will be platinum by Christmas.But she really should come back to the States and do some more promotion,maybe appear on a show like 'Ellen'.

That was Madonna's reaction when we told the Queen of Pop that she has now tied the King of Rock n' Roll with the most Top 10 singles ever-36 each.(Her latest being the crazily infectious "Hung Up").Madonna had not heard the news yet.I guess she really does stay away from the media! And at 47,touchingly,she still looks for Daddy's approval.The star called from London.I wanted her reaction to 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' reaching Number One status in 25 countries,including the good old United States of America.

"It was my husband,Guy,who told me the album was Number One in America.I was shocked,stunned,happy.I said "We have to celebrate".So we opened a bottle of champagne-not something I usually do,though I probably should do more of that--I had a glass,and then I sat and cried for 20 minutes.Really.So many conflicting emotions,but basically tears of joy.Don't let anybody tell you commercial success doesn't matter".

M ("everybody calls me M now,I never hear my own name!") is busy planning her next video for the second single "Sorry".She says "I want it to be a sequel to the 'Hung Up' video--what happens after she dances the night away because her boyfriend is so unavailable".And M is thinking about her 'Confessions' concert tour,which might include smaller venues "where I can hear myself singing;I can see the faces!"

Madonna also wants to build a film around her current troupe of dancers,which includes the phenomenally talented Cloud and Hypnosis."They are not just dancers.They're filmmakers and artists.Creative cyclones.I adore them".We spoke of broken bones-I recently shattered a wrist,she quite a few more-and she said it was terribly difficult coming back from that,to dance again."Your 46th comeback!" I joked.She laughed,"Yes,I've lost track of how many times I've been written off".She paused."Maybe that's the reason I cried when I heard about the record.Here's a big scoop.We're human too".

I think "Sorry" is a perfect single. I can't think of many songs on the album that are more catchy or fun than that.

I would KILL to see her in a smaller venue. I better start saving now so I don't have to!

I like the idea of the continued video. I would love to see more use of the free-runners from the beginning of the "Hung Up" video. They'd be a perfect visual compliment to a clip for "Jump". If you've ever seen what they do, you know how amazing it is.

basically,she continues dancing and singing the song while her man follows her and tries to apologize.She is purposely flirting with other dudes.But it's not all serious,there's alot of humor involved,such as the part when her man decides to make her jealous by dancing suggestively with a girl...or so he thinks.The "girl" turns out to be a drag queen,lol.

I wasn't too crazy about Mesmerize, so I've been slow about getting System of a Down's new album. I heard Hypnotize was better though. I'm just glad to see them at #1 Enya made the Top 10

Madonna no 4 after 2 weeks, Mariah no 6 after 38 weeks. The Emancipation of Mimi is gonna be certified 5xplatinum very soon. Worldwide sales r over 8million, lets see who is the queen of pop.
