I think I'll go with the 3 above and pick Hollywood as my fave single. I, too, agree it really should have been a hit. I know someone who doesn't even like Madonna but absolutely loved that track.

but if "Get Together" becomes a single in 2006 (as rumored),that will easily become my new favorite Madonna single of the 2000s.

That's probably my favourite track from the new album but I'm not sure it's a hit "Sorry" and "Jump" are probably have a better chance but "Get Together" is great.

I've been hearing the album all over the place and she's so smart to have made it without breaks and no ballads. It's surprisingly good.

Music is my favorite. I hadnt' heard or really got into the rest of her music from the 00's. I like her stuff mostly from1984 to 1987.

Do you like any of the others listed, Ellie?? hmmm

Two of my mates refuse point-blank to like any of her new material. rolleyes They'll hear the intro - I get my hopes up - and then it's "never as good as her 80's stuff". lol

I like a few of them, but honestly I just sit there and think "Are any of those as good as Spotlight or Over And Over?" Nope. lol

The thing I have with Madonna these days is that I don't love anything she does, but there's little I hate either - erm, with a couple of exceptions. 'Confessions...' especially. It's all just one bland blubber of stuff I sort of like but don't hate. She;s turned into Texas and The Corrs hmmm

yay, someone else who loves over and over, its my favourite off the like a virgin album, none of the madonna fans really ever give this song, actually the whole like a virgin album, much love or credit, im glad to see someone else who appreciates it, although it does go a little too long.

on her new stuff, i think half of its just as good as her old stuff like the whole ray of light cd, half of erotica and music and a couple songs off COAD and bedtime stories, but then youve got the crap like american life cd and the other songs on her album which i dont like, which no where near even touches the filler off her 80's albums.

YAY,

Now, with Erotica, I'd rank that as one of her greatest albums. Ray Of Light is something I played out too much in the first year of release. It just sits there gathering dust these days, but I keep going back to Erotica.

I don't understand the anomosity her fans have towards Like A Virgin either. I think it's a mighty fine Pop album - the only track I dislike is 'Pretender'.

Texas and The Corrs??? barf

I know what you're saying - I hate that feeling (almost guilty-like) you have when your ex-heroes don't cut the mustard anymore. I've got this love/hate thing with the Pet Shop Boys. I know I'll buy their next album but I'll also moan about how they once 'snubbed' me in London even as I'm paying for it. lol

Haha, that sounds like me.

I'll still always buy everything Madonna does. It's a force of habit now though. I buy lots of music anyway, why not just get the latest Madge album/DVD to top up and keep the collection complete? biggrin

I go through phases with her. The other night I watched the "Confessions of Madonna" interview with Dermot O'Leary and just thought; "Bless, her, she seems really nice", but ergh, I just can't get into this latest album. I can't stop comparing it to Kylie's Light Years neutral

I agree,"Sorry" and "Jump" are the obvious choices for singles. But "Get Together" has quickly become a fan favorite.Warners would be crazy if they didn't release it as a single,at some point.

Again, I know what you're saying - especially the Kylie comparisons - but I'm really pleased with this one. But I have plenty of artists - that I hardly listen to now - where, if I don't buy that one Ltd Edition single, all hell will break loose. lol

What did you think of Dermot's interview? I thought he started really well - she seemed quite charmed by him and I love how happy she seems at the moment. It just went downhill when Dermot thought he'd try to 'psychoanalyse' her.

You could tell Madonna was thinking "What IS this bullshit?!". lol
