i had a dream about being surprised at school by an impromptu tori gig. i woke up missing the summer of sin tour SO much. so now i'm sitting here listening to the chicago show feeling a bit salty that we'll have to wait another 2 years before seeing ol' girl again.

anyway, here's a thread for the tori fans who are feeling similar pains.

I've never had the chance to see her live on stage yet...

when you get the opportunity, jump on it. even if you only "like" her and don't necessarily "love" her. as performers goes, she really is one of the best. it's not coincidence that prince had her sleeps with butterflies video up on his website. even the best performer in the world has to stop and recognize what a brilliant live act tori amos is.

i've listened to a million live tracks from the original sinsuality/summer of sin tour and, really, she was at her best. stripped, raw, free, energetic...just listen to the "bootleg" versions of beekeeper. its f'n hardcore! (especially manchester!)

It was a really special show. It was my last of 5 that I'd seen on this tour. And it was Tash's birthday party where they were all dressed up in Star Wars costumes. And Hurricane Katrina came in that night. The setlist changed from sweet songs about familial relationships to moodier songs that reference weather and the elements. Plus, it was my first time hearing my beloved "Cooling". I'll never forget it.
