The Manhattans

Who remembers the classic R n' B group, Manhattans. They had lots of classic slow jams like ...

There's No Me Without You - 1972
Don't Take Your Love - 1974
Kiss and Say Goodbye - 1976
I Kinda Miss You - 1976

What are some of y'all favorites.
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

"We Never Danced To A Love Song" (1977) music

Their 1980 album 'After Midnight' is one of my favorites.Side One is just outstanding, every song a classic...

"Shining Star"
"It's Not The Same"
"Girl Of My Dreams"
"Cloudy With A Chance Of Tears"
"The Closer You Are"

I wore that record out in 1980!

turn out the stars (when you leave) and the way we were--good cuts also.

but truth of the matter is..the manhattans was basically gerald alston, blue lovett and some back up singers. kinda like the commodores with lionel richie.

Their latest song in either 2003 or 2004 was decent. Something about "turn out the moon and the stars".

I wrote you a reply. I don't know if it went through or not. My computer has been acting crazy lately. My mother hipped me to this song, so I burned a copy from her. Thanks though.
