I was gonna start a thread on this! TVOne is doin' the damn thang, aint they?
I've always wanted to do a remake of this and I've been working on the script/concept for awhile now. There's only ONE PERSON that can play Dorothy in the remake of The Wiz:

i can only watch certain parts of it, the singing was good, but the story line was corny, in fact "the wizard of oz" was even cornier... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

Oh, no!!!!! Get you some Jiffy Pop or Orville Redenbacher (sp?) and park it inside for a couple of hours! That, and a nice stiff cocktail so you can be tipsy enough to make all of the 70's urban socio-political references they encounter on the journey and the arrival to Oz---LOVE that movie!!!!!
