A sensitive take on paedophilia. A very brave lyric, really.

A sensitive take on paedophilia. A very brave lyric, really. You're right but I can just hear someone like Geoffrey Palmer saying that. You know, as much as I love Aerial and wanted something to come and beat its' ass, my favourite song is still The Sensual World. I was listening to the instrumental version the other day - What other Kate albums do you need to investigate, Anxiety?

TRON said: Hey Anx, I know you're not a fan of early Kate for the most part, but what have you heard?
I ADORE "Never For Ever" but can't penetrate "The Dreaming" yet. But "Never For Ever" has some classic moments that I think you'd really dig. "Delius", "Babooshka", "Army Dreamers" and "Breathing" are all classics. I wouldn't say "not a fan" as much as I'd say I've never really given myself a chance to dig into anything earlier than "Hounds Of Love". The new album has really given me a jumpstart to explore her older stuff...there's not that much by her that I don't have - I think after my purchase yesterday, there may only be two or three I don't have - so checking out her older albums doesn't seem that daunting a task to me now.

I´m not a hardcore fan, but I have Never for Ever, Hounds of Love, the Sensual World, the Red Shoes and probably a couple more albums and video collections... So there are TWO versions of Wuthering Heights because of the girlish vocals ? Could you please elaborate ? I´m not that familiar with her earlier work. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

That's the voice I feel in love with. i was introduced to Kate via Don't Give Up and Running Up that Hill, so I didn't hear the early stuff until after I was already in love with Hounds of Love and The Dreaming... and the voice just grated on my nerves. I respect the early stuff, but I just can't listen to it because the voice doesn't appeal to me personally.

I´m not that familiar with her earlier work. there's like a 10 yr. difference in the songs, so her vocals are more mature in the "new vocals" version. I know a lot of fans like the original one better, but I like the newer one. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
