Donna Summer's new I Got Your Love single OK, Forget Hung Up. If you want to confess on the dance floor, get
I Got Your Love by Donna Summer I just downloaded it from itunes. I hope a new cd will be coming soon. She will probably have to show that she can sell a digital single before a deal and cd can come up. Please show support and purchase the track. I think it's smokin. A real dance track. It's catchy and ripe for a remix I got your love It's all that i got I got your love It's all i ever think about I got your love Every last drop I got your love It's all I ever think about It's all I ever think about It's all I ever think about Baby In the heart of my heart I want more Of the man who just walked through that door The only one that my eyes see Baby the moments have drifted away And the hours became lonely days you're the answer to what i have prayed I, I will be good to you I, I will be good to you (repeat verse 1) Baby, losing you's all that i fear And i'm losing it when you're not here I never could go on without you Baby, I feel like a shower of light And I need you right here by my side I'm craving you all of my life I, I will be good to you I, I will be good to you (Repeat verse 1) Aaah you move me Baby Aaah you move me I got your love It's all I ever think about I got your love Every last drop I got your love It's all I ever think about All I ever think about (come to me baby) All I ever think about (come to me baby) All I ever think about Your love . apprently Donna had an album that was finished for Sony, and than she was dropped. Donna might have more luck if Confessions on a Dance Floor does well. Several tracks have been released from it including You're So Beautiful. DavidEye knows the entire tracklist of the ill fated album. In 1999,Donna signed a record deal with Sony Records. She released a live album 'Live And More Encore' which included three new songs. She then began work on a new studio album, completing 30 tracks between 1999-2002.But she was dropped from Sony last year and the album, titled 'Angel' was never released and remains in the vault. Here's the tentative tracklist...
Donna Summer 'Angel' "You're So Beautiful" "Angel" "Work It" "I Got Your Love" "Rain On My Shoulders" "Not A Day" "Valley Of The Moon" "Til You Get It" "Tearin' Down The Berlin Wall" "Half The Battle" "Only Words" Since then, she has been constantly talking about a new album, and how she is always "looking" for a new record deal. But at this point,I don't think it's gonna happen.Donna simply doesn't like the way the music business operates (remember her problems with Casablanca in 1980 and her rocky period at Geffen Records in the 80s?),and she has had tremendous problems developing a friendly, productive relationship with any record label since leaving Casablanca. From this point on,I think we'll see the occasional new song tacked onto the end of yet another greatest hits compilation, and she may play select concert dates now and then. But I've given up hope that we will ever get a new,full-length Donna Summer album.Music is no longer a priority for her and I don't think she's interested in trying yet another comeback attempt.I guess we should just hope for more remastering of her excellent catalog. http://www.prince.org/msg/8/88891 You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

This song was released over the summer exclusively on Itunes and has only recently been climbing the dance charts. A great song but I think I burnt out on it after listening to it like a hundred times. It's a track she recorded while on Sony, which was from 1999 to roughly 2002 or something like that. They dropped her but I think she recorded an album's worth of material, including "You're So Beautiful". This one is sadly, unlikely to be released on a full CD. Much like "Beautiful", it will probably be an extra on her next hits CD. Not that she has one planned, but I'm sure one is coming.....
Looks like I'm late. Davideye knows the history better than anyone. I stil have hopes for a new Donna album (she mentions it all the time but vaguely). It could happen and I think if it does, it will come as a surprise. I wouldn't be shocked if someone releases "Angel". [Edited 11/19/05 21:01pm]

Tracks, as in the "Angel" disc...no! Verisons of "You're So Beautiful" which appeared on two collections are available to download, but the original, which I've only heard once on the net, is not avialable. "I Got Your Love" is an exclusive I-Tunes single. For some reason, Donna's website streams samples of the still unreleased tracks "Only Words" and "Valley Of The Moon", (which appears on the tracklisting of "Angel") along "Adonai", which isn't on that tracklisting but was certaintly reocorded around the same time.

I like it! Slightly low-key yet pulsating, catchy, and vocally lovely.

thank God! I hate the idea of an artist releasing a single that's only available by downloading.I want an actual CD that I can buy in a store! Another gripe: I wish Donna would finally make an entire album! I'm sick of getting a song here,a song there,or having to buy another Greatest Hits compilation just to get the one or two new tracks.Even Gloria Gaynor released a new CD a few years ago,so Donna has no excuse.

You're kidding me! They should have released a CD single for "You're So Beautiful". It's a crime that they didn't. I can't wait for this but who will sell it? Maybe Borders but that even seems like a long shot!

what do you guys think of her version of "Power Of Love"? It's on the Luther Vandross tribute album and it's been getting some airplay. So she has two new songs that are getting some attention right now.Why not follow it up with a kickass dance album?

I like it a lot but it's not quite up to par with "I Got Your Love", "Beautiful" or other recent singles. The fact that it is getting airplay says a lot about Donna's popularity and the desire for some good dance music. With all this recent buzz and two songs on the dance charts right now, I would be shocked if she doesn't either make a new album or finally release "Angel".

I agree. The success of COADF will help other dance music divas return to the limelight.Record execs are paying close attention. It's funny though,I thought the success of Cher's "Believe" would have paved the way for a Donna Summer comeback.
