A lot of the bands you're naming are of the new wave era, but the style of their music is more post-punk/goth than it is synth pop or new wave. They're too hardcore and dark for that.

Love Vigilante and Bizarre Love Triangle were some of the favourites of my New Wave parties in the 80s :nostalgia:

Funny you should mention this cuz Joy Division's Heart & Soul box set was the soundtrack to a trip Moonsongs and I took out of town just yesterday.

i like a couple of new order songs, included the world cup 1990 song.

It's strange. They paint him out to be a good-natured, almost fun-loving guy in that movie. There's about one minute where he's wandering around town, acting like a loner, watching movies at home, and the next thing ya know he's hanging from the ceiling. I liked the movie, but I thought it was an insenstive portrayal of events. They almost make everything into a comedy. Maybe that was the point.
