It is rumoured that it will be issued here in the USA in March of 2006 and that ANALOGUE will be the first single here. A-ha will tour the states too once again in 2006. They currently are on tour and just played in GREECE on the 13th. Their European tour takes them through LONDON, FRANCE, RUSSIA, NORWAY, GERMANY ending on December 29th, with some rumoured dates for January.

The Last CD to be officially issued here was 1993's MEMORIAL BEACH, it didnt chart although they did have 2 singles one of which almost did, "between Your mama and yourself" bubbled under at 102. After this CD a-ha was dropped from the USA label of Warner Brothers, though WB still had them for the Rest of the world till 2004. Also after MEMORIAL BEACH a-ha went on a 5 year hiatus, did some solo work, paul formed SAVOY and released 3 cds, Morten had 3 solo cds, 2 in Norwegian, MAGS had 2 Solo cds during that time, mostly experimental, film score like, he also released a solo record in 2004 (AMAZING RECORD). A-ha returned in 2000 with MINOR EARTH MAJOR SKY and then in 2002 With LIFELINES, in 2003 a double Live Album from the 2002 tour called HOW CAN I SLEEP WITH YOUR VOICE IN MY HEAD and then in 2004 WB issued the Best of A-ha which closed out their contract. A-ha then signed a 7 figure deal with Universal for 3 new Cds.

thanks for the info..i find it amazing how in the U.S we have no access to this great stuff other than imports..most poeple in the U.S would think A-HA was a 1 hit wonder with Take On Me & a minor hit with The Sun Always Shines On Tv..i found the same thing to be true with the Human League i just bought their greatest hits DVD to find many real gems that i didnt even know existed that were big hits in the UK and sround the world....its a shame...what we need here is a retro hits around the world video channel! that would be so awesome

Very true. Its also amazing how many bands mention a-ha as influences, just to name a few, there is Coldplay, Keane, Snow Patrol, Radiohead and also U2 sites them as one of the most overlooked bands as far as getting credit for being great writers and performers. I think a-ha came at a time in the USA when MTV was a big thing and a big influence, so obviously the Video was the thing that broke them in the USA, but i think after that people just couldnt see them as anything else, MTV really didnt play anything of theirs after the second albums first single "Ive been Losing You". A few years back VH1 ranked a-ha in the top 15 for One Hit wonders, and had a short interview with them where it was pointed out how a-ha still was big all over but here. But maybe now when this CD gets issued here the USA will wake up to a-ha.
