GangstaFam said: I can appreciate much of that list. "Waiting", "Nobody Knows Me", "I Deserve It", and especially "Substitute for Love" are all faves. One song I never hear fans mention is "Secret Garden", but it kicks my ass so hard. I still flip out over that one. All of Andre betts contributions to that album were fantastic, probably the highlights of the record for me. Its a shame she never worked with him again.

that's just insane. Indeed! I never even watch TRL anymore because usually,it's only the rappers and the teen acts that dominate their chart. The fact that Madonna (a 47-year old mother) is even in the top 10---at Number One,no less---is astonishing!

"How High" is one of my very favorites. Way better than "SuperPop". Of course "How High" would be one of your favorites. That's the one that sounds very Kylie-esque,right?

It sounds EXACTLY like Kylie. you could play that to someone telling them it was Klyie and they wouldnt be able to tell you were lying. Its one of my least favourites on the album, but I still dig it. I think its better than Isaac and Like It Or Not, and I also think it warrants a place on the album above superpop - thats just not quite good enough i dont think. Also, does any one find the guitar flicks on Super pop just ever so slightly prince like?????

http://www.thesun.co.uk/a...8,,00.html Madonna fans 22 years on 1983: Way we were ... Paula, left and Donna ready for Madge gig PAULA DAVIDS and Donna Treanor saw Madonna’s first ever gig on British soil in 1983. The ageless superstar was back at the same venue in North London on Tuesday night. Here Paula, 39, and Donna, 42, both of Croydon, South London, relive that night of 22 years ago. Paula said: “It was a week night and I shouldn’t have been there – but I’m glad I went. “I remember her singing Holiday and everyone clapping. She had attitude even then.” Donna added: “She was really focused and, like me, she hasn’t really aged much since then.” 2005: Way we are ... Paula, left and Donna are still fans Time has not been kind.

Anxiety said: DavidEye said: what are your favorite tracks? i've been so obsessed with kate bush's "aerial" that i haven't really put names to songs yet w/ madonna's album, so bear with me... my absolute favorite is the one that sounds like 'i feel love'...is that 'get together'? that song is kick-ass. of course, anything that tries to sound like moroder's best work is gonna be killer if done right, which is the case here. 'isaac' is growing on me. i like 'hung up', too - moreso than i thought i would upon initial listens. other than what i'm about to list, there's something about every song i like. even the two songs i DON'T like have some kind of redeeming feature lurking around in the background. my dislikes: "i love new york" - i guess that's a popular anti-favorite. it's not just because she says "dork". i'm not thrilled with the use of the "i wanna be your dog" riff in the song. i'm always annoyed when madge tries to throw in some punk rock, because she's SO not. iggy pop opening for her show? okay, mommy's a bad-ass, that's cool. trying to cop a stooges riff? give it up, honey. not working. i don't like the song later on in the album where she's phrasing like beyonce and dredging up flourishes from her old songs (intentionally or not) - way too contrived. sounds like another damn gap ad. overall, i love the energy and i love the seguing from song to song. the whole thing just MOVES in a way that's really appealing to me, and it's nice to hear ol' madge having some fun and being playful again. i'm into it. Yeah, my husband picked-up on the "I feel love" influence with that song. Unfortunately though, he said that although he enjoyed Confessions, it's not something that he would buy, but he doesn't think that it's bad for what it is. I just think that he doesn't like that "over-produced" sound or whatever coz he so much into blues. I told him that we are just different coz I appreciate ALL types of music where as he definitely is very selective. Now, he would say that he is really open-minded, but I just don't think he is coz he is more of a "traditionalist." Hey, at least he listened to it TWICE (while driving there, then driving back), so I'll give him that! I also really like "Push," but still my favorite song is "Isaac." I really love that song. Actually, I'm enjoying this cd more than Ray of Light and Music because I like nearly every single track on Confessions. I think it's really an enjoyable listen and "fun," too. P.S. Those two Madonna fans have NOT aged well at all. God, I'm 35, and those pics scare me a little bit. I hope that I'm aging better than those two women. They look so much older than their "published" ages to me. Yikes. [Edited 11/18/05 5:36am]

Yeah. Her last album "Neon Nights" beats Kylie at her own game. that's the only one you need plus the single Everlasting Night You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

The more I play it, the more I'm lovin it! I still have to listen to the other Madonna CD's I've picked up recently (Like A Virgin, True Blue and Like A Prayer) but this CD is so much fun. I've never looked forward to hearing an album from her the way I do with this one so this is a nice treat. [Edited 11/18/05 9:52am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

You guys should read some of the negative reviews on amazon posted by Mariah, Kylie, Britney and Goldfrapp fans.
Divas fighting over divas, how predictable. Some fags have too much time on their hands. http://www.amazon.com/gp/...c&v=glance It seems amazon's review system has become a message board as of recent days. No one reviews the product, they just fight. Sad, because i used to love to write up reviews and now there's really no point. It's nice amazon gave COAD one of the products of 2005 logo, now if only they could fix up their review system and only allow decent and honest reviews to be posted on that site.
