Soundgarden, Alice in CHains, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith no more, Jannes Addiction, Guns N ROses, Aerosmith all puts Foo Fighters to sleep by a mile. Let alone the classic bands like Led and Pink Yeah, I was going to reference Jane's Addiction rather than Green Day. I also thought of STone Temple Pilots and also Pearl Jam. Of course Led and Pink Floyd are in another league altogether.

Well at least the Foo has stayed together, unlike all those bands mentioned above. And Dave is the coolest most down-to-earth rocker there ever was. Maybe that's why they have stayed together. They are awesome live too.

I always get that impression of Dave Grohl.. Whenever anyone interviews him they always have good things to say. It was funny the other night at the MTV awards when he did an impression of Oasis being rude about their Lyla cover on the Jo Wiley SHow. What should he have done? Sit in a corner and mope? Or maybe follow suit and take himself out in Kurt's honor? I think he did what any sane person would have done. You think if it was Dave that died Kurt wouldnt have just gone out and found a new drummer? I dont see kurt throwing away his whole career just because his bandmate snuffed it! Youve heard "My Hero" havent you? Daves not a bad guy!

Foo Fighters are really fun live. Prior to IYH, they released 4 really good albums. IYH is hit or miss, but there's some salvageable stuff on disc 2.

Great band with great songs...I had little interest in buying their new album...hell, I haven't bought anything from them since "The Colour and the Shape" but I've always liked what I heard.

It also makes me happy to see Dave succeed. It's not fair that his career should end just because Kurt was unstable. Kurt could have taken a tip from Dave and taken things a bit lighter. I've always liked Dave, but the music is just kinda dull, cept for a few decent singles. He's really the Phil Collins of grunge, huh?
