Very cool but keep in mind AL was also a number one single in a lot of foregin countries. I wish this album the best but honestly have no idea how it will perform here and overseas. I still haven't heard it and I'd hate to say it, most of the reactions seem negative!

what wisdom would be expelled from doing that? we know she feels like a dork in other places than new york. we know she likes to rhumba to a samba. We know she couldn't take her relatives phoniness as much as they never understood her touched lonliness.

And besides to cover madonna up with words would be a waste of ... Hey look at the pretty pictures! biggrin

uh huh from drownedmadonna

Track-list for the Promotional Tour:

Hung Up
A re-invented version of Everybody
Get Together
I Love New York
A remix of Let It Will Be

if this is an indication of what the singles will be, i hope these are the ones aimed at Europe. Push and Jump need to be released in the US.

Anyways there is no doubt that it will do extremely well overseas. It's already heading to be her 11th #1 UK single.

yes, i know. but for so many of Madonna's albums, there have been early indications of what the singles will be. for Bedtime Stories, during the MTV interview special, where she talked about the album, it was what became the 4 singles that they gave audio samples of. for Ray Of Light it was that early 5-track promo, which just happened to be the 5 singles. etc.

just hoping that Jump (which is on the album sticker) and Push are promoted in the US.

what i mean is that BS and COADF are both very deliberate directions to go. BS after Erotica, COADF after AL.... which were both very good albums, but a little bit heavy for the public at large and seen as stumbles. both are sort of pandering concessions to get her back in the good graces of the record buying public. neither is that substantial, but they're both very good and do the intended job. when i say they aren't substantial, i mean... they give the appearance of just immersing themselves in a genre and having fun, but both can be seen as pretty heavy albums. they sound light and inconsequential, but they really have something going for them undearneath besides the gloss on top.

but Madonna has been trying forms of techno since the house sounds on Vogue. Electronica has been the focuse since 98. so this isn't a dabbling as much as afullfilling a trip. coming full cicle. Ray of Light to Confessions on a Dance Floor.

i do see it as way to get back in the critics good graces, but she has taken a gamble on the general American public. she'll win the world out side the States with no problem but she is fighting an uphill battle against Clear Channel's foundness of Hip Hop.

i thought Bedtime Stories was sadly overlooked. not only by the general public, but also many of her "fans". not to mention the recording academy (i.e. Grammys) as was Erotica. listening to those two albums then, and now, i never took it for "fluff" or "light" pop. i think they were both very mature albums. musically and lyrically. sort of a rebirth or acceptance into her womanhood if u will. (think Kylie Minogue's 1994 album. where's MOONBEAM? giggle ) anyway...i guess what i'm trying to say is that while everyone was praising Ray Of Light, and deservingly so, i think she hit that mark several years prior with those two releases. twocents

That's great news.I'm surprised that the video is doing so well on TRL,considering that the viewers of that show only care about young rappers and teen acts, lol.I never watch MTV or TRL these days.

btw,the "Hung Up" video can be viewed on Madonna's official site.

Everynight this week, 50 Cent is DJing on London's Kiss 100 and has his own one hour show (he's really not that bad at all- he has a bit of personality at least). ANYWAY, he gets to play all the songs he wants for that hour and it's the usual HARDCORE Hiphop and RnB from the US and UK (stuff I've never heard of). At the end of his show, he said, ''I want to play something different now. This is my home girl Madonna. I love this tune. She's an inspiration to me. Hung Up on Kiss. G-Unit''

I KID YOU NOT...

The shows are going to be online from next week so listen for youself!!!!!

In Europe, any of these songs could become singles. But here in the US,Warners should play it safe and release these songs as the next singles after "Hung Up":

"Sorry"
"Push"

They might also wanna release "Get Together" but only to the clubs...send a promo CD of remixes to club DJs.
