Alright, I confess: I caved and listened to the first four songs on MTV's Leak. I had read all of the positive press, and just couldn't hold out any longer. I really don't remember much of what it sounded like, so I don't feel quite so badly about it. With the past few Madonna CDs, I've been good and held off until purchasing them.

Not gonna listen again until I physically own a copy of the album.

last night the crowd went nuts every time a new song was played on the dance floor! true, it was madonna night so they were all big fans but they were very excited by the songs. i sent a few friends some tracks and while they are not big madonna fans, they were excited by the new material. if radio supports the album, it will be a big hit because the material is her strongest in years.

I missed it! fit

Madonna song of the day: "Like It Or Not" music

You can call me a sinner
you can call me a saint
celebrate me for who I am
dislike me for what I ain't
Put me up on a pedestal
or drag me down in the dirt
sticks and stones will break my bones
but your names will never hurt

I'll be the garden, you'll be the snake
all of my fruit is yours to take
better the devil that you know
your love for me will grow
because

This is who I am
you can like it or not
You can love me or leave me
cause I'm never gonna stop,no no

Cleopatra had her way
Matahari too
whether they were good or bad
is strictly up to you

Life is a paradox
and it doesn't make much sense
Can't have the femme without the fatale
please don't take offense

Don't let the fruit rot under the vine
fill up your cup and let's drink the wine
better the devil that you know
your love for me will grow
because

This is who I am
you can like it or not
You can love me or leave me
cause I'm never gonna stop,no no,you know
This is who I am
you can like it or not
You can love me or leave me
cause I'm never gonna stop,no no,you know

No no,you know
No no,you know
No no,you know
No no,you know

I'll be the garden, you'll be the snake
all of my fruit is yours to take
better the devil that you know
your love for me will grow
because

repeat chorus

Although in my circles we already refer to the album as Confessions Of A Dance Whore, then point at eachother while scanting "You! YOU! No, YOU!"

What can I say? We're faggots.

Hilarious also, how she tries to say "I am sad" in Dutch at the beginning of I'm Sorry.

It is in SUCH a deep accent it sounds like she is an Italian immigrant. Very comical.

It should be "Ik ben droevig" but she makes it sound like "Iek ben droefik"

Okay so is the cd going to be tracked? I'm hearing that it's going to be a continuous track a la Lovesexy.... I pray this is not true.

The reason people are speculating this is because of The Leak not allowing you to stream individual tracks.

The album IS tracked, but the songs segue into eachother, so the album listens like one contineous mix.

I love it lots.

I wonder how Madonna and Stuart Price/Les Rythmes Digitales/Jacques Lu Cont
went about it.

I love the fact how often the album blatantly 'borrows' from disco heydays. Future Lovers is built on the synth-groove of I Love To Love You by Donna Summer and that is only ONE nod to disco past.

Did all you Madonna fams read the interview she did with Attitude? Very long interview, where she is interviewed in Stuart Price's appartment. Real laid back and fun, like the mood she seems in.

I'm glad you like it. It's funny to see her casual fans enjoying it, meanwhile her hardcore fans were expecting her to raise the dead with this album. Picky queens. neutral

It's not a GREAT album, but just a fun mindless something. It pounds and I can just imagine myself on a dancefloor.

I like Stuart Price better as her producer than Mirwais cuz the album is FIRM and most tracks could just go straight on radio, except maybe Isaac, the weakest link on the album, in my eyes.

If you buy the CD from iTunes, you have your choice of two different versions: the tracked version (where the songs are separated) or the regular version where the songs all segue into each other.

I am always honest. Highly critical, that too, but always honest. I like this album lots. Probably in my Madonna top three. It;s just fun. I like fun.

I even listened to Sweet The Sting today. So there you go. I like that song lots too. Understated. The video is dope [to Sweet The Sting]. She looks so majestic, untouchable, unattainable. I love it. Tori The Ice Queen.

lol,"Future Lovers" is actually based on Donna Summer's 1977 hit "I Feel Love".

But,yeah I'm digging the many old school disco song references on this album."Get Together" even pays tribute to the SOS Band's 1980 hit "Take Your Time (Do It Right)".I like how the samples are sublte and low-key.I didn't even hear the Jacksons's "Can You Feel It" sample on "Sorry".
