Yes "Rhythm Nation" was a great video, coordination and all...but i just love the "If" video!!! The sexual innuendo dance moves and all... very sexy video, coordination was on point and all. Janet was at her best in this video...

I go for "rhythm nation". The look, and dancing rock. Choreography is killer.

RN is probably the better video overall, although If is probably the better-made.

ever notice how the tv and the video collection version slightly differ on "alright"? In the tv version, a few of the dance sequences are longer but cut out the special guests liek cab etc... and vice versa.


I love the "alright" video. by far my fav video of hers.

Worst is "again". What a rubbish video.

Of the two, "If" is my fave. She looked great, still remember those long red curtains blowing, the dancing was good - any move where you grab a dude's head & jerk it @ your cooch is good

Overall "Love Will Never Do" & "Pleasure Principle" are still my fave Janet vids

I love both videos, but I'd have to vote for Rhythm Nation. The choreography was so intricate and exacting that I'm still trying to learn the moves. Yeah, I know. I need to get a life.

I didn't know there were 2 versions of the video. I like them both but between the 2, I'd go for RN. It was just so fresh and exciting plus the whole excitement of RN1814 coming out was just crazy.

I'm going to second the 'Pleasure Principle' and 'Love Will Never Do' opinion, but since that wasn't the question, I'd have to go with 'Rhythm Nation'. I think that 'If' is good, but as a song and as a video, I think it's overrated. The dance breakdown rips off Paula Abdul's 'Cold Hearted' video. Watch them again and compare.

Rhythm Nation might be a second-hand MJ impersonation, but he bit 'The Knowledge' for the ending for the 'Black or White' video, so that at least evens them out.
