I'm diggin' him to me, his voice is exactly the opposite. not shrill... but flat and lifeless. you can hear him really trying to sing, and at times i think his voice comes across effectively. but he really overdoes it. he just doesn't have the range for the kind of singing he's trying to do. That's always intimidating around here. JL is the truth. There are very few R&B artists coming up in his time that are his equal. Most of them are rappers nowadays. Dude is a real singer-songwriter like the "legends" back in the day. he is of the likes of Lionel Ritchie and such; traits rarely seen in today's R&B. I give him props. | |
