I hear ya. Rap ain't really been shit since Hammer went out of style. There were a few jams here and there like "Hoochie Mama", "Daizey Duks", or "Come On Ride The Train", but the jams became scarce and tired midtempo bullshit took over. Hell, they probably had to slow it down because they didn't have the talent to keep up with a fast beat. Their asses would become tongue tied.

It's too slow to dance to and too fast to fuck to. It serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever.
