"Genius of Love" by Tom Tom Club? If so, that's about the best song ever!

i dunno? mariah sampled it in one of her songs (fantasy maybe?). i should mention madonna doesn't so much sample these songs as much as she sings in the tune of their melody.
[Edited 11/2/05 20:48pm]

mariah used it in 2 or 3 songs i believe
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

I HATE that this has leaked. Im just not sure i have the will power to hold out for a week and a bit.....curse my pathetic mental strength.

I didnt like the whole drip feeding of downloads for American Life so I swore with this record Id wait until the CD was in my hands, but hearing everyone talk about it is killing me.

Its nice to read everyone's different opinions of it though. They're that varied, it makes me think this record will have quite a wide appeal.

I love it. It really grows on you after many listens.

This is what LAMB should have been IMO. And Madonna has done it without being a complete sellout.
If Janet's apparent all dance album is half as good as this i will be satisfied.

Thumbs up to my dear hag thumbs up!

Just wait. Think about how much more rewarding it will be to hold the CD in your hands, open it and put it on for the first time. Will power!

Yes, I agree it is much better than LAMB, since Madonna actually went all the way with the retro influences.

The great thing is.....there is not a single track on there that will be soundly embraced by the US market. She didn't make this album as a singles record, that's for sure.

"Hung Up" fell 20-21 on the Hot 100, by the way.

I knew it was going to be used, but I'm annoyed with the Donna Summer I Feel Love bassline interpolation on Future Lovers. I dunno, it's such an easily identifiable bassline that it's a bit of a distraction.

Did you hear what Donna said about this song? She said "I hope it sells a million copies" lol She really wants those royalty checks, lol

yeah, this is not a radio friendly cd. well, maybe 2 or 3 songs but its definitely not a hits cd. and i'd imagine this is going to be a BIG hit in europe!

A certain, wonderful Orger tried to send it to me, but my computer won't play the file!!! fit

Still, I'm excited after reading Sassy's thoughts on the matter. ROL and Erotica are my two favorite Maddy CDs, (ROL is my ABSOLUTE fave) so I'm pretty pumped. In fact, I completely agree with his opinion on just about all things Maddy related, so I'm pumped for this disc!

Some critics are saying this is Madonna's best album since 'ROL'.Anybody agree?

It'll take me awhile before I decide how this album stacks up to the others.

I am so hooked on the last track "Like It Or Not".Madonna has done songs like this in the past, where she attacks those people who attack her ("Human Nature"..."Survival",etc) but this is even better than those songs!

who else loves this song?

From what ive read of this track, its meant to be similar in vibe to Fever off erotica. In my head, given the theme of the song, and this comparison, Im hearing Goodbye To Innocence, that B-Side off erotica, is it anything like this. Ive always had a fondness for that track, or at least the sentiment of it.
