Hung Up is #1 on the I-Tunes charts in Spain, Greece and Finland.

#2 in Italy and Holland, # 3 in Portugal, #4 in UK, Canada, Belgium and Switzerland. It has reached #6 in Norway and #7 in USA, Denmark and Ireland.

Within 24 hours of being added to iTunes, Madonna's "Hung Up" (Radio Edit) has climbed into iTunes Top 10 downloaded songs of the day! It's off to a great start!

Actually, I wonder if any thirty-something Brits remember the BBC "comedy" series 'Bread'?

The woman at the Dole Office called Martina whom used to snarl at Joey Boswell, had nearly the same hairstyle.

just heard the song in its entirety for the first time. i like it a lot but i can't say i love it...yet. my honest opinion is the hook saves the song. other than the abba beat and chorus, its nothing too special. it does stick in your head and the dance-o-meter is steady rising but i still hope its not the strongest track on the record. there were some things on american life that were better than this track (nobody knows me, die another day, hollywood, love profusion, nothing fails) and i kind of expected a smash dance song.

maybe it will grow on me. i think my problem is with the first verse. i can't get into the song until the second verse and by that point its almost over, lol! we'll see. maybe the album version is better! i do like it though, i just expected more.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it, except the "expected more" part (I don't think the first single should necessarily be the best the album has to offer). As a single, I think it's great. It's catchy, dancefloor-friendly and best of all...fun. I feel confident that the album will have better material to offer. I also am not too keen on the first verse, particularly the transition to the chorus. That repetitive "time goes by" feels lazy and uninspired. But I love the bridge to the second chorus. My favorite part of the song!

Honestly? I can see the other tracks maybe, but not "Love Profusion". I think that's one of Madonna's weakest songs of the past decade.

Well I love Hung Up. It has stayed in my head all day and I can't get it out. I can't wait to hear the album version biggrin . To think, I would dog this girl like it was the coolest thing to do for a long time and now I'm loving her. Talk about eating crow. I see why folks like Davideye and Ehuffnsd dig her so much. Madonna rocks!!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

yes!!! LOVE that remix. even though i'm digging everything that's going down, i kind of wish she'd done some rock-style tracks with headcleanr, based on their 2 mixes on the EP. they turned AL, and especially LP, from so-so songs into real winners.
