Sad to say it, but it'll be a long while until we see another Prince, Funkadelic, Cameo, Fishbone or Band Of Gypsys. its not up to the industry as far as pickin up an instrument goes - its up to the kid and sometimes the parent. a kid can choose to play or not to play an instrument - i think alot of kids today just choose not to. and in some cases (like where the parent has the means to do it) they just dont see it as a prority to enroll their kids in a class. an example of this would be last year when i was in 8th grade this guy volunteered to teach 5 kids in 8th grade guitar, and when they came to my class askin who wanted to do it hardly noone raised their hand, in a class of about 24 only 5 or 6 people (including myself) raised their hand. what does that say? it says they werent interested. Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
