I love the two Chucki Booker cuts, "My Heart" and "Spread My Wings" (extended version). "Mamacita" was cool, too.

i remember seein their "spread my wings" video back in 89' on video soul, and damn near breakin my legs tryin 2 do them routines lol!!! my fav member was rodney benson,'cause he had that full force style s-curl fade but he flipped it by havin part of it hang to the side....razz but anyway, troop had 4 albums beteen 88' and 98' but their biggest ones was their self-titled 1st that was produced by gerald levert and the 2nd album "attitude" in 89' by the underrated chuckii booker.....

Yep! It was "I'm Not Soupped"
and the Soupped Mix from the Attitude album.

That song ripped off "my prerogative", but the production was no way near as hard.

The soupped mix is so funny-

"we havn't got started yet (shutup!)"

I think dallis austin gets his first major credit on the "attitude" album. I got their videos from the first 2 albums. Amazing dancers

The choreography in "spread my wings" is amazing. Even minni g would like it. It is that good in places.

I love troop. Their third album "deeper" is good too. Some tough newjack cuts are on there like "I'm not gamin'" "she blows my mind" "keep you next to me". Tracks vainandy need to hear mad lol

The sweet, but uptempo "only when I laugh", is awesomely cute too. Love it.

They also did the smooth backing vox on babyface's "tender lover" song.

Troop were phat! Always liked the reprise on the albuym version of "Spread my wings". ON a mixtape, I'd place it back to back with a remix of Sil's "Hooked On You" which has an opening very similar to the Troop Reprise!

Chuckii Booker all over the joint!

'dre
Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

"Deepa" wasn't half bad. The lead singers voice was kinda awkward though.

Troop actually has a page on myspace.com. They're still together and they're been doing some tour dates. They look the same, just heavier and no jheri curls...

I just can't get into that song - all it does is make me go and listen to the original by the Jackson 5.
