soulofmysoul is the one who said that he should get out of the sun, therefore implying that he is too dark or "drak enough already". That surprised the hell out of me because of all her posts about her biracial children and such.

Like her children, i am biracial and my mother is white. it can be difficult to be a child in that situation and having a mother who makes negative comments about the skin of a black man can't make life easier. Especially when the rest of the world does that pretty much constantly as it is. but maybe her children are very light and can pass for white or something and she's raising them that way, although i highly doubt it. Maybe she's really bernie mac in diguise. Maybe she's really prince. i have no idea. all i'm saying is that it was a strange comment for a woman in her position to make. if she was just some white woman with some white kids and had little to no experience with black people, her ignornace could be somewhat excused. however, this is not the case and her comments just made me sad. poor mixed babies. can;t get a freaking break. fuck janet jackson, man.

I guess that's something most of us missed in school. I've been to a few islands and I've seen loads of people of colour sunbathing. I don't think they are trying to get a tan but I'm sure they enjoy the beautiful warm sun rays.
