So, why are we talking more about Janet now than ever? James DeBarge, the youngest member of the 80's clan, has dropped the huge dime! This dude told Miss Jones this morning that Ms. Nasty has an 18-year-old daughter! Great Day In The Morning! I repeat, this DeBarge fella says Janet has a daughter! I'll have more for you later on, but this rumor has apparently been around for quite some time. I never heard that one before. For those that don't know, Janet was once married to James DeBarge so this gossip has serious credibility. It may not be true but its got legs! We were talking about Janet possibly wanting a baby, but this takes the cake. I will get more information in a New York minute.

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

Heard this before, it's mentioned in J Randy Taraborrelli's first MJ Book. According to Taraborrelli the 'Daughter' was raised in Europe.

Sounds like James hasn't moved on...the same excuse was used on Wendy Williams' show too

Does Janet Jackson have an 18-year-old daughter? If you believe what Young DeBarge said during an appearance on New York City radio station Hot 97’s Morning Show With Miss Jones, the answer might be yes.

On the show Friday morning (October 21), DeBarge said that Jackson had a daughter when she was married to James DeBarge. He claimed on the show that he had a niece, “Renee,” the “just-about-18”-year old daughter of James DeBarge and Jackson. Young DeBarge refused to confirm that she also had a 16-year-old son from the same relationship.

Young claimed that the marriage took place approximately 19 years ago. He explained how he wasn’t prepared when his brother brought Jackson home and claimed that the Jackson family kept the relationship quiet.

During the interview, Young DeBarge said that he expected that the release of the information would occur “naturally.” He added that the Jackson issue is “a common question. I’ve always dealt with that. I’m prepared to deal with that.”

BS!!!!! With as much attention as the Jackson family gets from the media. And as much as the Paparazzi hunts down and tries to dig up dirt on Michael and Janet. There is no way she could've had a baby and kept it a secret this long. James Debarge is lying.

Extra, the entertainment tv show, is suppose to have something about it on their show on Monday...


i'm more interested in Joe's youngest daughter....where is she nowadays. The last pic I saw, she looked just like janet and rebbie...to me.

Janet Jackson's former brother-in-law made a bombshell claim on a hip-hop radio station yesterday - the sexy siren has a secret 18-year-old daughter.

The stunning allegation came from Young DeBarge, whose brother James DeBarge was briefly married to Jackson, now 39, in the 1980s.

During an interview on Hot 97, Young said the busty star and his brother - a former member of another Motown family act - are the parents of "Renee," a daughter sent away in shame to live with the eldest of the famous Jackson siblings, Rebbie.

"James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight," Young DeBarge said. "No one really knew how it was working out until things kind of surfaced."

Janet Jackson's rep Patti Webster didn't deny the claim yesterday, only saying the singer didn't wish to comment. And the young woman is not happy about her star mom's refusal to acknowledge her, the uncle said.

"I think there's a little despondence," DeBarge said when asked about Renee's feelings for Jackson.

"She hasn't really revealed that, but I'm sure that there's some feelings there. It's only natural that you wonder about what is and how it's come to be that way."

Jackson was just 18 when she and James DeBarge hooked up in 1984. Their marriage was annulled the next year.

The couple eloped amid family furor over their relationship, but the marriage was annulled in March, 1985., with DeBarge's drug habit cited as the reason for the split.

Nevermind. This is what I found...


Rebbie married to her fellow Jehovah's Witness Nathaniel Brown at the age of eighteen. Together they have two daughters, Stacee and Yashi, and a son, Austin. All her children were featured as background vocalists on Rebbie's latest album Yours Faithfully. Her son is currently working on his first album.

i heard about this too. it's really none of our business though. she did have an increase in weight between the her 2nd and 3rd album and she was definetly chunky during those 1st 3 vids from control. that's probably because she likes to eat. she wasn't married to james then but that doesn't mean they werent fckin. there was a rumor for years that she was married and she never confirmed that until she got divorced. rebbie was on a radio station promoting your faithfully and said that janet was married at the time. siblings do run their mouths. i have to tell my sis all the time to stop telling my business to any and everybody she is aquaintted with.....anyhoo like mista says in the color purple, "could be - could be not".

Does anybody from the 80's remember "RIGHT ON!" Magazine? When I was a kid, I remember being so excited at the cutest picture they had of the newlywed Debarges announcing a pregnancy due for the next "February" after being married?????

Then, lo and behold, the marriage was annulled within the year and then there was NO baby!!!!! I still have that mag in my parent's attic as my mom kept a TON of periodicals from the 80's from every member of my family....I rememeber all the young black girls my age being completely HERATBROKEN that Janet had landed the youngest and cutest of the Debarge group and was (from what African American periodicals announced at the time) WITH CHILD!!! We were completely DISTRAUGHT because we all wanted to grow up and marry him ....

Anyway, I do remember a very short but celebratory media hounding about a baby when they married iniatially, but when a child did not materialize I just always assumed that she had an abortion or maybe a "tragedy" of some sort, then didn't think much about it since....

Could this be Janet's daughter?
