IMO, I think they should have given the award 4 best video 2 OutKast, 4 their video "The Whole World". It was artistically more interesting. Was it even in the running? |

I think you're right. They're videos are unusually most interesting, like 'Sorry Ms.Jackson'

Occasionally,I send emails to Maurice White (leader of Earth Wind and Fire) and he usually answers back.He has given me some information about the upcoming Earth Wind and Fire CD.It will contain 14 songs, and is due by August 1st.It will be released on Maurice's independent label Kalimba Records, but it will be distributed by a major."The band sounds good and loose, there is alot of great singing on this CD",says White. Here is a partial tracklist...
***"Wonderland"---Angie Stone sings on this song with the guys.Expect this to possibly be the first single. ***"She Waits"---features guitar by Carlos Rio ***"Soul"---no info on this song ***"Never"---Gerald Albright guests on this song ***"Why"---Maurice sings lead vocals on this ballad. It can also be heard in the upcoming Eddie Murphy film "Pluto Nash",which is also due in August. ***"Heaven"---no info on this song ***"I Wanna Be Loved"---This song was written and co-produced with Eric Benet, who sings on the track with Philip Bailey.I've heard a snippet of this song and it is HOT! ***"Whatever Happened"---For those of you who can't wait for the CD,you can hear this song right now! It is available on the "Undercover Brother" soundtrack. This is the song that is played during the closing credits of that film. It's a funky, catchy tune featuring lead vocals by Greg Curtis. ***"Thank You For The Love"---this is a song dedicated to the longtime loyal EW&F fans.

Earth, Wind, and Fire SOOO deserved that award. I was sooo excited to see Maurice once again. I hadn't seen him in ages. I know he had been sick so it was a real pleasure.
Alicia Keys' shirt blew me off the planet. Yall know what I'm talking about. Regarding video of the year...yall, our people have got to make some MAJOR changes in our thinking for the future. *side note* I know I will probably be shot for this, but I had a "I'm getting old" moment last night. While Ludacris (sp) was performing last night, I came to a realization about one of his lyrics. I thought the chorus was "MOVE CHICK get out the way, get out the way, get out the way". To my surprise (not really), he is saying "MOVE TRICK, get out the way. I need to have my ears checked out NOW. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Also let me add, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer were GREAT hosts. Very funny.
Lastly, Janet Jackson has a CRAZY body. Oh my goodness!!! I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

We'd likely all be in great shape if we could spend all our free time working out and staying in shape. I ain't mad or jealous, but it's a different way of living one's life and more power to her for looking so good! test
