Is anybody else up on Kenna? That incredible artist from Ethiopia that used to kick around with Pharell and them, but eventually got signed to Flawless Records (Fred Durst's label. God help us all.) and effectively disappeared from sight after releasing a gorgeous single Hell Bent off his album New Sacred Cow (ridiculously hot.) Does anybody else think he's awesome? Better question, has anyone got a clue where the hell he is?

My music industry friend in Virginia told me Kenna was trying to get some recording done last year, but Chad Hugo (of the Neptunes, who largely produced Kenna's other disc) was not present most of the time. There was a whiteboard with song titles/ideas on it, and Kenna wrote "Let's Make Music Chad" or "Where Are You Chad", something like that. I haven't asked my friend about Kenna lately though.

Kenna's album was totally slept on. It's more like the rock/new wave side of NERD... but still sorta electronic like Depeche Mode or something.

I know Anxiety and sdldawn like that New Sacred Cow album.

Is he the guy Malcolm Gladwell talked about in his book "Blink"?

He's currently working on the album now, which is titled "Let Them See My Face" which will probably be out early next year,one song from it is titled Face The Gun which I believe Chad Hugo produced and it sounds great, it's pretty much in the same vein as the New Sacred Cow material, he has a page on myspace which is http://www.myspace.com/officialkenna and he posts that song on there every so often,mosty on the weekends.
