I loved that song! They also did a cover of Papa Was A Rolling Stone which I like too.
I have some tickets to go and see the show tomorrow, but I am not sure I can make it. I think I will be missing a good one if I don't go

Funny you mention them, especially since you were at the Soulpower party the night before. I ran into Don Was at the hotel (all Jazz Cafe artists stay at the same joint) and invited him to our show with Marva Whitney and Sweet Charles. He did show up and brought some people .. and he really enjoyed the true funk!

The band that brought us "Wheel Me Out" and "(Woodwork Squeaks) Out Comes the Freaks," They kicked ass. Did anybody go to their reunion show on New year's?

I got the "walk the dinosuar" album. The track "dad, iam in jail" scared me to death as a kid

My music teacher taught us Walk The Dinosaur when I was in the first grade. I was the only kid who knew what it was already from my countless hours with the brown cable box on my lap, pressin two buttons at once, tryin to see the Playboy channel.

Iam surprised more people dont have at least the "dad, iam in jail" album. I gotta hear it again.

Lately this place seems to stop musically past 1984?
