Why did i think Ashlee would sell more? She seems to be the hot shit these days for some reason and i thought she would have shifted more.

Pretty sad day whenever Ashlee Simpson is above Stevie Wonder on the charts.

Indeed, but she will never have the same respect and talent as him. That's one thing numbers can't buy.

Sign of the times. No one said the album is better. It just sold better and had much better publicity.

That pretty much sums it all up. It's pathetic but true. I was hoping the SNL fiasco would destroy her career but it seems to have helped it. Too bad.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I don't think it helped. The new single is catchy enough, so kids are buying. She doesn't have a great voice. Her show which displayed her making the album proved that. But that doesn't mean she is a total fraud. She obiviously is the vocalist still. Let her be. Keep this in mind...just because kids are buying the Ashlee Simpson disc doesn't mean that they are buying it instead of Stevie Wonder or someone else.

it's also disappointing that a Rod Stewart album of cover tunes is outselling a Stevie Wonder album of originals disbelief

It was promoted better. Just because Stevie is doing some shows doesn't mean that's the only promotion a disc needs. I think the CD would have charted higher and prehaps sold more copies if it was released on the first release date back in May (not sure if it was the first release date but it was the one that confused a lot of people because the CD appeared in a ton of advertisements).

BTW, how come none of us have a debut album yet?

If Ashlee can sell more record now than Stevie Wonder, then why not the rest of us?!?
