[Edited 11/2/05 4:46am] Please have some faith...I hate Music I heard it for the first time! Now It's on my top ten! I loved Music from the first time I heard it. Now that was an addictive track. I don't think this is going to grow on me, though. I hope there is one track that convinces me to buy the album, though, like Nothing Fails off American Life.

question for everyone...what track are you most eager to hear? For some reason,I think that "Sorry" is gonna be the album's gem. That's the tune I'm most excited about hearing.

DavidEye said: GangstaFam said: I think the comparisons Kylie gets to Madonna are both fair and unfair. I mean, Madonna set the prototype for dance-pop female sex symbols. Kylie's post SAW material follows Madonna's career arch closer than anybody else's. So to pretend that the influence isn't there is a bit silly. But there's always been something different about Madonna. Now, I'm not gonna act like she's the most profound, deep, important artist ever. But since the beginning, she's been about more than just the image, the sex appeal and the "pop" of it all. Her songs, videos and live performances are highly thematic. She's funny, irreverant, controversial, intelligent, influential...those elements just don't come across much in the other pop divas' work. Behind all the button pushing, the provocative visuals, there's a message and a meaning behind it. Sure, Kylie's cleavage cape and gold hot pants are iconic images at this point...but is there a point? If so, I still haven't figured it out. That's not to take anything away from the Kylies and Britneys and recently, the Janets. It's okay to have some mindless fun and just dance your cares away. Madonna still does that on occasion too. But in that way, it's unfair to the artists that have come since Madonna to expect them to live up to those kinds of standards. And it's unfair to Madonna to reduce her influence to being the forefather of the modern pop tart. She's tackled politics, religion, spirituality, sexuality and gender norms in a way that none of her followers could ever dare. That said, I can appreciate Kylie, Dannii and even Britney to an extent. I don't listen to their music, but I've heard enough of it and quite like a few of their songs. I could probably even name nearly 50 Kylie songs that I kinda dig and that surprises me cuz I used to hate her. I think she's carved out a decent niche for herself and has a respectable body of work at this point. But she's no Madonna. I agree with just about everything you said. From the very beginning,Madonna always had that "extra something" that makes her stand out from other dance music divas. She always had a purpose,a message,a point she had to make.Lyrically, she went deeper than Kylie and the others will ever go.Madonna is so much more than just image,a sexy smile and cool dance beats. Just for the record, Kylie has tackled much more serious fodder from 1994-1997, especially with Impossible Princess. Since it flopped, she basically pulled a Confessions of a Dancefloor and went straight up dance. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

She wrote two of the songs on it by herself, one of which is "Too Far", which basically came out of nowhere and which I think is one of her best. Michael Hutchence taught her many tricks of songwriting when they were together in the early 90's. [Edited 11/2/05 7:13am]

But I think, in Michael, Kylie discovered her songwriting ability. She has written and co-written some great tracks since that point. She still stays in touch with his dad. I don't understand why so many Maddy fans rag on Kylie so much. She puts on a really great live show, she has a lot of input on her material, and she knows what she wants for each project. She really is not all that much different from Madonna, except she's less pretentious about it. Kylie is a lot more than "a sexy smile and cool dance beats", as DavidEye put it (guess he hasn't listened to Impossible Princess). Clearly, you are able appreciate both. [Edited 11/2/05 7:56am]

I have been a Kylie fan since the dawn of ages also...And I hate this stupid feud made by fans! They r so diferent! Kylie is pure class and fun! I'm now listening 2 one the best "unreleased" kylie tunes: Aston Martin

LISBON (Reuters) - Madonna will give the first global live television performance from her new album on Thursday when she appears at the MTV Europe Music Awards, a key showcase for the music industry outside the United States.
The 47-year-old American superstar will sing "Hung Up," the first single from her disco-inspired "Confessions on a Dancefloor," which she hopes will reverse a recent slump in form when it hits stores on November 14 after weeks of media buildup. Sales of her last three albums totaled an estimated 10-11 million copies, a disappointing return for one of the world's most successful artists with global sales of more than 160 million albums.

[Edited 11/2/05 4:46am] Initially the song didnt do much for me either, and im still not 100% convinced about its merrits, but i have to say its exceedingly catchy and very very camp.I think that either turns people off it, or makes them absolutely love it. The album has received almost universally good reviews, and apart from "Sorry", Ive heard people rave about completely different songs from the next person, so maybe there'll be something for everyone on there. Im expecting the album to deliver a lot more in creativity & variety then "Hung Up" is hinting at.
