The track I Love New York begins with a chunk of lyrics from Love Song [her duet with Prince from 1989's Like a Prayer album] and there are lots of references to your past records. It seems like this album's almost like a retrospective of your whole career. Is that what you were aiming for? No, I just feel like I can plagiarise myself whenever I feel like it. It sold 2 million copies, so it was hardly a flop. I think it's unfair to rule Madonna out just cause she had one album that happened to bomb. U2 had one, yet they turned out alright. Bowie had 2, yet he rebounded pretty well. And Paul McCartney's had quite a few stinkers, yet he hasnt been written off. \ Give Madonna the benefit of the doubt. why are people so against her having any success or realizing she is the force behind all her records? The Fall has begun now #5 in itunes could go lower b4 the week is over
Also stuck at #31 today on airplay last week it went up mainly becasue it hadnt spend a whole week in radio airplay After the video is released on thursday i still see it goin up on airplay but i dont think it will go up on itunes. most itunes ppl r hardcore fans!! atleast its doin better then the song she did with britney which peaked at #52 |

Has the song charted on the Top 100? I don't see why not. It's getting a lot of airplay and selling singles via Itunes (and doing very well over there). I'm shocked if it hasn't charted on any Billboard charts. | |
