The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Oh, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with liking that song. 3:00 am and What Time is Love were pretty snappy singles, and I think that song they did with Tammy Wynette is probably the weirdest US top forty hit I’ve ever heard.

Unless O Superman was a hit in the US? Nope, I just looked …It must have been in the UK only where that song charted.

And really, even coming from a country renowned for its eccentrics and misanthropes, Bill Drummond and Jim Cauty were (probably still are) a couple of pretty seriously weird guys.

I'm having a hard time making sense of my Bowie list so I'll just pick one favorite off of each album or if it's a non-album song, I'll include it with whichever year's appropriate.

'69 - Space Oddity
'70 - The Supermen
'71 - Life On Mars?
'72 - Soul Love
'73 - Time
'74 - Sweet Thing/Candidate
'75 - Win
'76 - Word on a Wing
'77 - Be My Wife
'78 - "Heroes" (cheating on the year here)
'79 - Red Money
'80 - Teenage Wildlife
'81 - Under Pressure
...the rest of the 80's wouldn't compete with my favorite stuff from the 70's and 90's...
'91 - You Belong in Rock 'N' Roll
'92 - Real Cool World
'93 - The Wedding Song
'94 - Dead Against It (cheating again)
'95 - Strangers When We Meet
'96 - Telling Lies
'97 - The Last Thing You Should Do
'99 - Thursday's Child
'01 - Conversation Piece
'02 - Heathen (The Rays)
'03 - Bring Me The Disco King
'04 - Isn't It Evening (The Revolutionary)

I could easily pick 100 Bowie songs that I think are absolutely perfect, so it gets hard for me to do a proper list.
