Just love this album. It was release posthumous in 1994 and was a continuation of the "story" of Lumpy Gravy (1968). Zappa wasn't able to cut the music and voices in the 60's and waited til he had the technology to do so. This to me Together with Yellow Shark


are Zappa's swan song.

I Miss Zappa everyday.. i was playing the 3 volumes of shut up and play yer guitar.he was one of those twisted geniuses.

I always thought of Zoot Allures as a nice album. Zappa sings most songs with his mouth very close to the mike so you get a creepy feeling. Love the song The Torture never stops.

Lumpy Gravy , at first I wasn't all that into Zappa's forays in classical music or music concret. But lately those sounds are growing on me.

we're only in it for the money - his pun on flower power and hippies, great album.
Apostrophe - funny lyrics, great musicianship.
Joe's garage - great spoof on record industries and their flaws.
One size fits all - great production and includes Inca Roads
Roxy and elsewhere - great sound, great performances and no overdubs
Broadway the hardway - Zappa goes all politacal on you
