Who in the hell did those?

some of ya'll older orgers might know about these, but back in the '70s there were these novelty records that were based on stuff like jaws and the '72 election. they were these records that had people asking questions and the "reply" would be snippets from popular records at the time.

for the life of me i cannot remember the name of the group/people who did those records and it's buggin the shit outta me!!! anybody here know who it was? the only thing i remember about 'em is that the name started with an "r", i think. heeeeelp! headache

I remember these, but, as I remember them, they were something that morning radio deejays put together for laughs. I don't recall them having a name. shrug

Now that you have me thinking about this, I remember one that was made when Paul McCartney was arrested with weed in Japan. It took the form of an interview of Sir Paul and all of the answers were snippets from Beatles and Wings songs.

Example:

Q: So, jail must have been hard. Where did you go to the bathroom?

A: "In a jar by the door."
