I've never been a fan of them (mostly because I don't know their music  ) but in August, Ellis Hall (former keyboardist and singer w/ Tower of Power) was in the house at Bunkers in Mpls. and came onstage on keyboards and vocals for a few songs with The Combo.

Their last studio album, 2003's Oakland Zone is a great return to form. most of the original members are back (Though I think they really need Lenny Williams back as vocalist..... BTW, Tony Toni Tone did a great tribute to Tower of Power with their song, "Wild Child" (with horn arragements by TOP's own Greg Adams)... ...
