his lips look as big as ever here, doesnt look like hes had any reducing surgery done to them

oh and i think this is a great pic of michael, i think he looks very good, very normal and very GREAT, i have to say it again, i love this look (remeber im comparing this look to the rest of the invincible look, not saying he looks better here then any other time, just then any look hes had recently). i can defiently see thriller and young michael in this photo. its strange, he can look one way one day and completely different the next day, for instance i thought he looked really good at this court thing in 2002 but a couple of weeks later there were pics of him and he looked terrible. i really think it depends on what kind of wig he wears and the make up

I feel your spirit...But I think it's hard for anyone that grew up listening to MJ to say that the above picture looks "normal" or "great." Yes, I understand that you are comparing this look to past photos of the man, but it's pretty impossible to notice that the MJ that I and other fans grew up with does not look normal (I'm trying to put it mildly)...I mean I would have loved to see MJ stop the plastic surgeries at the height of the Thriller era, but for whatever reason he didn't. With that said, I think fretting over his unusual facial features is like trying to swim in quick sand. No one can get into the man's head...People should have more pity for the man than anything else...

Hellooooo DAHHHHLINGS. Back again. We ad such fun yesterday even though it was the first day we've not seen him biggrin

We saw Jordan there yesterday with her camera crew. She said she hugged Michael - could have been lying. She's TINY!

Oh, and Prince Abdullah strolled out... but *cough* went up to talk to him. He said Michael might not leave today but the silly charity single should be out "very soon".

Then we sent some Jacko fans on a wild goose chase. We were bored so decided to go home, but pretended we got a "tip-off" and frantically hailed a black cab, told some eager MJ fans that we were going to "Peacocks" (made up place) and just drove round the corner to the station to get home lol

Oh, and I'm not getting into the conversation in this thread. he looks absolutely brilliant this week - loved the pic on the front of the Evening Standard yesterday - big grin on his face, immaculate hair, and then Madonna at the top looking like some council estate granny with piss yellow hair and blue teeth giggle

I've been trying to grab Michael's attention by doing anything BUT screaming and waving like everyone else. It worked on Friday in the car park and out the window on the first day he came out. The pulling faces and dorky thumbs up hasn't worked YET.

I will if I get the chance. We flashed him on Tuesday night biggrin

BTW, just to clarify... I'm not THAT sad (well I don't think). Sort of between jobs at the moment. Only working 1-2 days a week at the most and even finishing half days before my new boss gets the contract he needs for me to start full-time. So it's not like I'm taking time off work or anything to do this, it was just pure fluke that he came to London at this time eek

OBIE! He was the ONLY one who had an excuse to be up there and he's such a nice guy. ALL the other complete wenches up on that car (Claire, Angela, Justin *cough cough*) have met him far too many times to act like that, AND they're all in their 30s. Utterly ridiculous pricks who ruin it for everyone else.

What about someone who really had an influence like Nelson Mandela?

Maybe you're not fully recognizing the power of mass media and how powerful people use it to manipulate us. I would say Nelson's importance lies in his jailing and struggle. His life post jail has been nothing but a figure head leader and ambassador.

How many of us are still talking about the injustices of apartheid, last time I checked Palestinians were under a form of such a system. There are even Black people in this country who don't know who Nelson Mandela is, trust me I met them.....very sad.

Michael, being the most influential speaks to how successfully the "powers to be" have stifled the growth of Black revolutionary movements. You will never see so many intellectual and powerful Black people rise to such prominence, the only reason you can reference Nelson is because he was locked away for years, if he was alive, especially in America, the man would certainly would have been dead by 1980.

You fail to recognize that pop culture influence (Michael Jackson) is only something we talk about to fill time and beat back boredom between the actual stories (Nelson Mandella) that influence the real world.

Do you think Nelson Mandela has any real power since he’s been released? The power behind MJ, the Beatles or any movement in pop culture is three times as stronger and more controlled than the anti-apartheid movement ever was. That movement in itself was gained steam through popular music.

Mass distraction or manipulation gets more sinister and complex every passing year. MJ has been one of the most powerful tools and certainly the most powerful Black one in the last 25 years.

Just to clarify a small point here: Apartheid didn't end because of Nelson Mandela alone. He just got the figurehead's status, besides how many of you have ever even been to South America?

Right, but pop stars didn't do it either. They made have created an awareness about it, but they didn't do the time. Or really any of the work, actually.

Well, I said I feel your spirit because I realize that you are a young MJ fan who came to this world only knowing the 1990's era MJ which means your earliest memories of the man was from the mid to late 90s...With this point in mind, I can understand how you can look at the MJ picture and say he looks good or better than previous photos....You know you are my folks...the whole point I was trying to make is if you were around for those early days, you would find any picture of MJ from '88 on shocking...You are far from dumb...just giving you my exepeirence, that's all...Cool?
