who are the new musicians that will change this?

Inspired by a recent posting about low record sales in general...I'd like to ask the questions:

1) why are people buying less music these days? (lack of substance, perhaps?)

2) who are the upcoming bands/artists (that actually play) that will turn the tide back from reality shows and fast food fame to musicians that are famous, rather than "stars" that play a song or two....?

Maybe, but it is easier to pay a buck and change per track, or not pay at all, for quality music.

Who knows? But their sound will be co-opted, corporatized, and worn into the ground. Ask Dave Grohl.
