Does anyone else dig Barenaked Ladies? I like these wacky Canucks! Their music is so toetapping and cleverly written. It is a rare pop song that makes you think and laugh your ass off at the same time but the Ladies pull it off consistently. "Pinch Me" used to be my favorite from them but lately I am really grooving on "If I Had a Million Dollars". When they say the line about the green dress (listen to the song if you don't know what I mean) I crack up every time.
Also dig "Celebrity", "It's All Been Done", "Another Postcard", and of course "One Week". All good things they say never last... | |

Prince actually said that "Stunt" was the best album on 1998

Detest? I can understand not liking them but the boys are too innocuous to deserve detesting. But hey, to each their own. For what it's worth, I detest Loverboy and they're from Canada just like the Ladies so there. All good things they say never last... | |

A few years ago I let my niece pick any concert she wanted and I bought the tix and went with her. She picked this band ~ I'd never heard of them. We had "on the hill" seating and it was pouring rain but they went on with the show. Everyone was drinking beer and falling around in the mud like crazy. I think it was the song "If I had A Million Dollars" where everyone started throwing noodles from Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. It was one of the most fun concerts I've ever been to (but it didn't make me a fan).Music is the language of the spirit.
