New Morrissey Album Produced by Tony Visconti !!! 3rd October 2005
Production on the new Morrissey album has been undertaken by Tony Visconti, who is in Rome with Morrissey and the band. The album should be completed by November 1st, and is entitled "RINGLEADER OF THE TORMENTORS". Tony Visconti is most famous for production on all of the early albums by T.Rex and David Bowie. Jeff Saltzman, who was originally named as producer, could not undertake the project. The album is engineered by Marco Origel, who is from the San Francisco area. "Ringleader Of The Tormentors" will be released on Attack early in 2006. Morrissey is delighted with the album which he describes as “the most beautiful—perhaps the most gentle, so far.” THE BEST NEWS EVER!!! XXX "There is no such thing in life as normal..."

Funny with an album title like that that it would be his "most gentle".

Apparently it's meant to be a cross between "Your Arsenal" and "Southpaw Grammar", in which case .... droooolllll. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

So an album full of "Aladdin Sane" leftovers. Fair enough.

Weird - last week I read that he's currently recording it in a 16th Century crypt in Italy with The Killers' producer. I only know cos one of my mates is a HUGE Morrissey fan so I texted the news. His PR said it's his most rock & roll album so far, saying: "It's his balls to the wall album".
