I agree, the gradual release of info and clips has been very well manouvered by Warner. Everything from the initial clips to the tracklisting to the production info and the front cover. Warner Bros seem a lot more confident about this record than they did AL, that practically had a cloud over it before it was released. Im enjoying the hype of the record, and i think the signs are much better than AL, but only time will tell if the product lives up to the hype.....I've a feeling it will.

According to the current listings of Warner Music Group, the bonus track will be called "FIGHTING SPIRIT". Details about the Limited Edition have not been announced yet, but it is understood that it will contain a one-month introductory membership to Madonna's fan club. Warner has also changed the release date for the album's Limited Edition, that is now set for December 13 2005. "Confessions" will be released as CD, LP, Limited Edition CD and Digital Music Download. The album will receive a massive TV and print advertising campaign, and street, online and club marketing will be extensive. This is great news! I was really disappointed with the Limited Edition of 'American Life'.....who needs some silly postage stamps and a large fold-out poster of the boring album cover art? Fans want a bonus track or two.I'm sure the packaging will be lavish and nice too. For the record her special editions normally are just better packaging, at least from what I have seen. She's gonna have to have something REALLY special to get me to buy it twice. Although I will be getting the vinyl regardless Christian Zombie Vampires

I heard she delayed the single release because the video had to be delayed due to her injuries. And who releases 2 singles before an album comes out anymore? to my knowledge the only thing that was deleyed was the date of the video shoot. everything else is on schedule. yes. but perhaps not by much. the American Life video that was aired, was as basic as a video can get. something i think most people don't expect from Madonna. i mean here was nothing to it. i'm pretty sure the 'controversial' version would have gotten more people talking about it, and more people wanting to see and hear it which = more sales. i'm not sure how important music videos are today, being that music video stations really don't play music videos anymore. and with people just downloading it almost seems pointless (as far as sales are concerned). though with Madonna; when she makes a music video, it's not necessarily another venue to push the album/songs, it's an entity within itself.

When I saw the original video(thanx to Kazaa), I was dumbfounded. It was such a good video. Nevermind the controversy or politics over it. It was well shot, well thought up, well choreographed, everything that the piece of shit 2nd version wasnt. Would sales have been better had she stuck to her guns with the original video? Maybe. It might have made people curious, though I have a feeling that the album would have sold low regardless. But it might have made a bit of a difference. Remember, alone, "American Life" is a mediocre Madonna song. Yet put through a remix or a badass visual behind it, the sky's the limit. Also, though the singles off the album were not mainstream hits(save for Die Another Day), most of them, if not all, were MAJOR dance hits. The dance community will go crazy for anything with the name Madonna attached to it. And there's a video for Nobody Knows Me? Wow. I didn't like the original version much, but the remix of the song on "Remixed and Revisited" was great. [Edited 10/5/05 13:28pm] [Edited 10/5/05 13:29pm]

I know for one that if there is a video and a remix and even a remix video...all the gay clubs and video bars will play it non stop. I don't fequent gay dance bars anymore, so I am not sure of the HIT potential these songs might have had in the CLUBS. As for Americal Life the song...I thought it wasn't that mediocre and was a departure for Madonna in terms of song structure and lyrics. I liked that song. The Nobody Knows me video is a remix and was probably used to tout the remix album. The video single handedly features ALL of Madonna's important moments caught on video. After watching it, one cannot deny the power she has had over almost everything in fashion, music, photography etc. It's a pretty amazing video even for a video montage, Christian Zombie Vampires

I've heard the chorus (Madonna's site is plays it) and know the music but other than "Time goes by so slowly" I have no idea what the verses sound like unless that's it? Is there more to it? If that is it, I really like it but expected more.
these are the lyrics that were posted on the web about a month ago. remember Music and Can't Get You Outta My Head didn't have alot of lyrics. Time goes by so slowly (x6)
Every little thing that you say or do I'm hung up I'm hung up on you Waiting for your call Baby night and day I'm fed up I'm tired of waiting on you Time goes by so slowly for those who wait No time to hesitate Those who run seem to have all the fun I'm caught up I don't know what to do Time goes by so slowly Time goes by so slowly Time goes by so slowly I don't know what to do Every little thing that you say or do I'm hung up I'm hung up on you Waiting for your call Baby night and day I'm fed up I'm tired of waiting on you Every little thing that you say or do I'm hung up I'm hung up on you Waiting for your call Baby night and day I'm fed up I'm tired of waiting on you Ring ring ring goes the telephone The lights are on but there's no-one home Tick tick tock it's a quarter to two And I'm done I'm hanging up on you I can't keep on waiting for you I know that you're still hesitating Don't cry for me 'cause I'll find my way you'll wake up one day but it'll be too late Every little thing that you say or do I'm hung up I'm hung up on you Waiting for your call Baby night and day I'm fed up I'm tired of waiting on you Every little thing that you say or do I'm hung up I'm hung up on you Waiting for your call Baby night and day I'm fed up I'm tired of waiting on you I'm happy. I know I'm wrong but I almost wish that I was right about the chorus having the line "Every damn thing that you say or do" instead of little. Oh well.
