My focus three days old
My head, it landed
To the sounds of cricket bows

I am proud man anyway
Covered now by three days

Three lovers, in three ways
We knew when she landed
Three days she'd stay

I am a proud man anyway
Covered now by three days

Dan, is this what inspired your Jane's fest today?

speaking of, I'm gonna put on Jane's right now...

lol That is indeed what happened. Minnie mentioned them, I got all nostalgic and put that tune on - my fave from Ritual de lo Habitual. And, yeah, get on with some more DM already. They're tailor-made for your musical tastes!

Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion OBLITERATE anything U2 has created since Zooropa.

I'm so sorry for not revising or checking over my spelling for you.. I didn't realize we were being graded for that here at the 'org.

I must have dysphasia... did I spell that one correctly?

Beborn Beton is 10 times better than Depeche Mode. Does that make Beborn Beton a hundred times better than U2? confuse

How so? Lots of folks hate U2. Lots of folks love DM. shrug

Strange comparison, but they are contemporaries that have a lot of fans in common.

I love both these bands, and I really don't see much in common, other than lots of photos by Anton.

U2 certainly has a more consistent catalogue, but Depeche has shown the greatest evolution. They went from being a Vince Clarke synth-pop band aimed at gay teens in Britian to being a serious band with incredible tunes and lyrics. I'm not taking a side, as I feel both of these bands are fantastic.

Oh, and Black Celebration stomps all over Music for the Masses, Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion

I don't know about "stomps", but it certainly is good competition.

heh. I'm just tryin' to rile some folks up. It IS my favorite DM album, but I wouldn't say it truly stomps them.

It's probably my 2nd favorite, right after Violator.
