i'm gonna try. but i'll just write a top 10 of the first songs
to come into my mind when i think "most beautiful songs ever".

joni mitchell - the last time I saw Richard
beth gibbons & rustin man - show
bjork - all is full of love (video version)
ryan adams - sylvia plath
beck - lost cause
radiohead - true love waits
prince - if i was ur girlfriend
tori amos - Alamo
chad van gaalen - somewhere I know there's nothing
nick cave - little ghost song

I just kept it at fairly recent songs (1990s onward) and just
slow tunes. I had to make a section because otherwise I would
not be able to make a list at all. well, there are a few cuts
among those that are older but those are the ones that would,
in any possible configuration, feature on my top 10 list.

5. 4 the tears - Prince
6. Rent - Pet Shop Boys
7. When Doves Cry - Prince
8. Human Nature - Michael Jackson (but he didn't write it! mad )
9. Over the Hills and Far Away - Led Zeppelin
10. Dance Magic - David Bowie (so sue me! I like 80s synthpop)

Some mystery Orger just sent this one to me. It takes some getting used to (it's got a slow, spare style), but once I really listened to it I started to love it!
