I've heard the leaked version was better but I never got to hear the whole thing so I can't tell. The reviews and opinions on this CD are so varied.

the first heap of original mp3s were a mess...a brilliant mess,but still a mess, very avant garde sounding and nothing that sounded coherent, very disjointed...some steel drums were taken out in favor of programming and some vocals redone (for the better)...but it's still worth taking a listen to those original mp3s they are very interesting

i actually liked the oringial much better
especially red,red,red and not about love... they were more soulful and personal sounding before

didnt hear the original but i like what i am hearing..

yeah critics I heard from fans that the original "Oh Sailor" was better. I heard they arranged it to be more upbeat. I like the sound of the original one a lot. I'll see for myself though.

we should also keep in mind that *this* is the album she wanted to release....theres a great interview in EW where she states she was the one who wanted to changed..not the studios....

The new DualDisc is worth picking up.

'Parting Gift' is may favorite right now...

I'm going to purchase the dual disc as well (being sold at Best Buy).
I'm really surprized with all the hype about the album that it wasn't promoted in any of the Sunday advertisements and when I went to Best Buy or Circuit City it wasn't even on sale.
