Michael Jackson's Music Only Thread. I just got The Ultimate Collection after reading Cloudbuster's other thread.
You just keep forgetting how much good music this man made. Off the collection my faves are; Ease On Down The Road This Place Hotel Wanna be Startin' Something State Of Shock with Mick Jagger We Are The World (Demo) which is waaaay better solo than as an ensemble song I Just Can't Stop Loving You with Siedah Garrett You Rock My World (FONKAY!) We've Had Enough (understated)

I really need to hear the unreleased tracks again.
I love "on the line" (heard a version of it before though) "fall again" "dangerous (early version). Infact the "dangerous" song is awesome. That breakdown is totally unlike Jacko. Both versions are different. I love 'em. "we've had enough" is classic jacko. Only jacko can do these pretentious type songs like this, and make them sound so awesome production wise and vocally. Again, a beatbox type hook is the melody. Truly shows Michaels naive, but unique creative mind

'Billie Jean' , The extended version b/w instrumental..
Is still his masterpiece.... 'Remember The Time' comes in a close second..... And of course, 'Beat It'..... 'In The Closet' is another classic....

For Michael, those lyrics proberly speak volumes personally. He is a very simple minded fellow. I can see Mike really relating to a song like this. Has Mike ever asked anyone out? I heard "you are not alone" was included intead of this song

"You see yourself in the mirror/ and yet don't like what you see/no/and things aren't getting much clearer/dont you think its time you go for a change?" ..... Exactly. Plus something about "dont waste your time on the past, gotta look to the future, its all right there if u ask....." Very, very simple stuff, but it must cut deep to Michael, and in ways, to me aswell

Michael's contribution to the world music is trumped only by a minute few.

I have a questionabout Sunset Driver. Was that song an unreleased track from Off the Wall or the Jacksons Triumph.
I have heard it was from one of them, and the production sounds like Triumph. PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

I have heard it was from one of them, and the production sounds like Triumph. I'm pretty sure it's a solo song. But I don't think it's related to any project.

Then I don't get it. If this is an attempt at being funny, I don't get it either. I just want to stress that this is a MUSIC thread, not the thread where you can dump yer problems with Mr Jackson's personal life.

"We are here to change the world" is the best previously unreleased song. Sounds very futuristic and space like! "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee

It was a Jacksons song, but it might as well have been a Michael Jackson solo song. It's that age old MJ theme of intimacy as a metaphor for fright. It's a haunting song, and I never tire of that single!

That Shit is Fire!!! Hell yeah it is! Even after just the first listen to that demo last year, I put it right up there with the original. They're both superb though very different takes on the song.
