Got Trampin' as well today. Heard some samples and it was quite cheap, so I said, go for it!

I bought this album over the summer and was completely stunned as well. "Birdland" completely blows me away!

I wrote a thread on here about a cut off of this album "Rock And Roll Nigger". This was sometime back. It got heated up in here like a motherfucker! U know where my stance was regarding the song. The title alone and then throw in some shit like "Jimi Hendrix was a nigger." Ooh wee, it was on and cracking on that thread. Yeah, I'm more than hip to this album. Only song I really dig by Patti is "Because The Night".

I really don't know anything about her as a person, but I cannot see her as racist. What is this song really about? Seeing the Hendrix remark stand alone like this, it sure seems at least inappropriate.
Maybe it's a comment towards white racist people, who like Hendrix. You know, like "but he's what you call a nigger"?
