Can we have a "Michael Jackson Is A Paedophile" sticky?

Then the decent folks who want to just talk about his music and 'ting won't be so disrupted by the morons who litter all MJ related threads with their shit.

Go on, please? smile

Ok, point taken. I'm ready to discuss his music on this thread smile

I've been listening to the "album" from the HiStory package for
the past week and I really like half of it.

I just don't like all those slow horrible syrup songs that are
so overdramatic they would even make Christopher Tracy cringe.

But these

Scream
They Don't Care About Us
Stranger in Moscow (the only ballad on here I like)
This Time Around
D.S.
Money
Tabloid Junky
2 Bad

I don't know, some of those are classics I know, but some of m
are rather silly. Still, I like them a lot. They've got a nice
groove and they're just catchy.

I've been revisiting "Dangerous" too and my favs on there are
among my fav Jackson songs period. "Who Is It?"/"In The Closet"
are among some of my fav songs by any artist ever.

fav edit.

no, really

Hello Isten, my boy. smile

Yeah, the History project... it was the first MJ album I was anticipating as I didn't get on board until Dangerous and I have to confess I was rather disappointed with it when it was initially released. I only liked about 6 tracks from it at the time. I still think it's a bit muddled and overblown in places but I like it a lot more than I used to.

Here's my version:

Scream
They Don't Care About Us
Stranger In Moscow
This Time Around
Earth Song
Money
You Are Not Alone
2 Bad
History
Smile

And the two you mentioned from Dangerous just so happen to be two of my very fave MJ songs, too. smile

I don't particularly dislike it. It's a well made track and he performs it beautifully... but it's not one of my faves. shrug

It was cool to hear him truly pissed for once. And with good reason.
Nice guy Mike gone to hell for a while. smile

I've been on a bit of a MJ kick myself lately. I bought the box set when it first came out but didn't dig in 'til recently. And I've been loving it. A lot of that bonus material is really top notch stuff. It struck me that he should really do a ballads album based on the strenth of many of his current slow songs. I think that might be the easiest way for him to make a comeback too.

There were a lot of great ballads on Invincible, shame they didn't get the recognition they deserved.

What are your faves from the box set?
